A smaller guest list makes the relationships in the room central to the story. Plan a little time for host and family portraits, then leave space for the conversations, toasts, and candid moments that unfold naturally.
Share the dinner schedule, key guests, and any moments you want photographed without interruption. Décor, table settings, and the room before guests arrive can be included in the coverage brief.
For a milestone birthday, anniversary, or family celebration, identify the people and moments you most want to remember. A short list of important group photographs helps keep portraits efficient and the evening moving.

For a carefully designed event, the setting is part of the story: floral arrangements, lighting, place settings, and the way guests experience the room. Include your planner's design priorities and allow time before arrivals for those photographs.
For VIP receptions and private after-parties, agree on access, photography boundaries, and any guest-specific preferences in advance.
Tell me if the event is private, if any guests should not be photographed, or if particular rooms are off-limits. Discuss confidentiality, image sharing, and publication permissions before booking so the expectations are clear.
